NCDEIF Foundation · Italy–Africa Cooperation

Trust infrastructure for Africa–Europe supply chains

Zamani does not sell technology. Zamani makes economic cooperation verifiable.

Mobile Money payments, donor-ready ERP and agricultural supply-chain traceability in a single operational infrastructure. Built through the partnership between CNT SHPK and the NCDEIF Foundation, for Cameroon, Burkina Faso and the wider Francophone Africa cluster.

A geography taking shape through economic connections, supply chains and territorial cooperation.

The problem

The trust gap in Italy–Africa cooperation

The problem is not the lack of funds, but the lack of shared operational infrastructure.

  • 01

    Fragmented rural payments

Heterogeneous local Mobile Money systems poorly integrated with international reporting.

  • 02

    High reporting costs

Donors and cooperatives spend months reconciling funds, receipts and KPIs across separate tools.

  • 03

    Weak traceability

Strategic agricultural supply chains — cocoa, cotton, shea — remain hard to verify upstream and downstream.

  • 04

    Multi-actor compliance

OHADA, BEAC, BCEAO, INTOSAI, AICS, AML/KYC: no operational platform integrates them all.

Donor → Intermediaries → Beneficiaries Donor INTERMEDIARIES Beneficiaries Fund dispersion

Solution

The Zamani solution

ZAMANI integrates payment, governance and traceability in a single operational platform.

  • Mobile Money payments

Direct integration with MTN, Orange and MOOV for rural payments in Cameroon and Burkina Faso.

  • Donor-ready ERP

Built on Odoo 18, reporting aligned with AICS, INTOSAI and international accountability standards.

  • Supply-chain traceability

Cocoa, cotton, shea: controlled and verifiable origin, from harvest to donor.

Origin Story

From an ethics prize to a cooperation infrastructure

Technology evolved by following concrete territorial needs, not speculative logic.

    Ethical AI for value chains

A prize devoted to artificial intelligence applied to the protection of ethical supply chains. A key insight emerged: the problem isn't data, it's the lack of shared trust infrastructure.

    S-PAN — a historical step

First technological pivot for cryptographic custody of goods. It remains a historical step and future roadmap, not the current core offering.

    Italy–Africa cooperation ERP

Partnership with the NCDEIF Foundation. The real need: integrated management of payments, donor reporting, supply chains and multi-actor compliance.

Positioning

Five pillars of the Mattei Plan

ZAMANI translates the strategic priorities of the Mattei Plan into measurable operational infrastructure.

  • PILLAR 01

    Rural financial inclusion

Direct payments to farmers via Mobile Money, reducing opaque intermediation.

  • PILLAR 02

    Equal partnership

Not aid dependency, but shared infrastructure for mutual Italy–Africa growth.

  • PILLAR 03

    Legal mobility

Qualified training pathways and labour integration coordinated with NCDEIF.

  • PILLAR 04

    Agri-food value chains

Cocoa, cotton, shea: strengthening controlled origin and valuing local work.

  • PILLAR 05

    Donor accountability

AICS, INTOSAI, OHADA, BEAC, BCEAO reporting integrated into a single tool.
